About Andreas Buenter

Andreas Bünter is a Swiss artist working between abstraction and abstract realism. His work explores natural patterns and structures and translates them into a contemporary visual language.

After early self-taught beginnings in watercolor and oil painting, he refined his artistic approach at the Milan Art Institute. His background as an entrepreneur continues to shape his perspective on art, space, and decision-making.

Today, Andreas lives and works in Aargau, Switzerland. His artistic practice is informed by regular travel and close observation of diverse natural environments.

Artist Statement

As an entrepreneur, the world often appears complex and turbulent.
I make sense of it by observing order.

I am drawn to recurring patterns in nature — in plants, textures, stones, forests, and organic structures. Not to imitate them, but to understand the principles behind stability, resilience, growth, and transformation.

Patterns offer orientation.
They create calm without rigidity and movement without chaos.

In my work, these patterns become visual languages that support reflection, focus, and inner clarity — both for myself as an artist and for those who engage with the spaces my work inhabits.

Perhaps we are all pattern seekers, trying to find our own way through complexity.

Art in Space – For Businesses

Beyond exhibitions, Andreas collaborates with entrepreneurs and organizations to integrate art into work environments.

Rather than creating isolated artworks, he develops spatial concepts that address themes such as resilience, growth, and transformation. Through color, structure, texture, and pattern, his work contributes to spaces that support leadership, reflection, and meaningful interaction.

His works range from intimate works on paper to large-scale mixed-media canvases that bring a grounded, stable presence into architectural contexts.

Ideal for:

  • Executive offices and leadership spaces
  • Meeting and conference rooms
  • Collaborative workspaces
  • Reception areas and representative spaces

Process & Approach

Andreas' recent works draw inspiration from the flora and fauna of regions such as Costa Rica and Tanzania.

His process is layered and tactile: glazes over textured applications, partial scraping, the integration of organic materials, and controlled polishing within defined color themes. Brushstrokes, palette knife gestures, and analog mark-making create rhythm and physical presence.

A work is considered complete when its visual language aligns with his inner sense of clarity and coherence.
